PCI College was founded in 1991 as a provider of education and training in counselling and psychotherapy and related fields such as Suicide Studies and Supervision. We provide part-time Foundation, Certificate, Diploma, and BSc Degree courses for helping professionals, community groups and government bodies. We are a collaborating college with Middlesex University and our courses meet the criteria of IACP.
Our three year part-time Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy meets the criteria of the Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP).
PCI College provide a BSc (Hons) in Counselling and Psychotherapy, validated by Middlesex University, for those students (including Diploma graduates from other Counselling and Psychotherapy training institutes) who wish to add to their qualifications.
We also offer a BSc (Hons) in Addiction Counselling course is for those students (including Diploma graduates from other Addiction Counselling training institutes) who wish to add to their qualifications.
For those interested in the area of personal development, PCI will be offering a range of short evening programmes and workshops which will run throughout the year. These workshops will include topics such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy Skills for Everyday Life, how to deal with Low Moods and free lectures on dealing with anxiety.
If you haven’t studied in this area before a Foundation in Counselling & Psychotherapy will provide experience of working in group process, an introduction to the theories and frameworks of counselling and psychotherapy, and personal development, as well as foundation level counselling skills. A foundation course will help you to decide whether to take on the commitment of a professional course.
